Seems like THQ Nordic is trying to bring back all the forgotten favourites.
THQ Nordic announced today that they have acquired “Kingdoms of Amalur” IP, amongst other assets from developer 38 Studios. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a ARPG released in 2012 by EA, developed by 38 Studios alongside Big Huge Games, it was the only game by 38 Studios as the studio was unable to pay back the loan they had taken from EDC despite Kingdoms of Amalur moderate success. A sequel and an MMO were planned but were scrapped after the company went under.
It will be interesting to see what THQ Nordic has planned for the IP, is a remaster coming to current-gen consoles to gauge interest in a sequel? What do you think? Let us know through our social media!
