Ryo Hazuki will continue his mission in August of 2019.
SEGA is releasing Shenmue 1 and 2 HD for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One today and to celebrate, they also revealed that the third game in the series will be released on August 27, 2019 for Microsoft Windows and Playstation 4.
Alongside it, a new story trailer was also released although it unfortunately doesn’t show too much. The game was originally scheduled for later this year but in May, Ys Net said the game would be delayed to next year to further polish it.
The kickstarter campaign for Shenmue III became the biggest campaign on the site reaching its $2 Million goal in under 8 hours and surpassing $7 Million. You’re still able to help out with the development of the game as the goal has been stretched to $11 Million in order to add new jobs, mini-games and more areas.
