If you've played PUBG before then you know that the game is infamous for its bugs and performance issues. Well, PUBG Corporation has listened and announced today the launch of "Fix PUBG", a campaign that will run for 3 months focusing on player provided feedback.
PUBG first hit Early Access in March of 2017 and kicked off the Battle Royale revolution we're witnessing today, the game had potential but was riddled with bugs, unoptimized performance, server issues and until a few months ago, a huge issue with cheaters
Fans thought these would all be addressed come the full release of the game in December of the same year but despite a lot of progress, the game still felt janky and without a lot of QoL improvements other Battle Royale games introduced since then.
Well, "Fix PUBG" promises to fix all of those problems and starts off today with a 9 gigabyte patch that includes;
Limb Penetration
Mute individual teammates
Colorblind mode QoL improvements
Better loot splitting
Adjustable FPS Cap
Next in line for PUBG Corporation is "Improving Client Performance" meaning you should be seeing less FPS drops even if your system can only run the game on minimum system requirements, "Level Streaming Optimization" which means maps shouldn't take as long to load and "Effect Optimization" so gun, gunshots and environmental effects don't make your game drop frames.
You can check out the full roadmap on PUBG's official website here. As a fan of the game, I'm excited for all these changes to take effect and make it the experience we all thought it could be.
